LongsPeakNet is a new non-profit, all-volunteer networking organization for job seekers in Longmont and the surrounding area. Its purpose is to provide a supportive environment where members acquire relevant and effective tools to obtain an ideal career opportunity, and offer employers efficient access to an experienced and diverse pool of talent.
The inaugural meeting on April 6th attracted 84 participants. Dr. Gary Koyen's presentation on Transformational Opportunities in the Job Search was compelling and motivational. The Programs page has a link where you can listen to the mp3 and view his handout. Jennifer Hargrove was the very first alumni. The leadership team was introduced, along with their committee members (the roster and leadership team can be seen on the Committees page). Job seekers from Boulder and Broomfield on the south to Fort Collins on the north learned about how LongsPeakNet can be a choice for them, perhaps in addition to other networking organizations they are currently participating in.
